Privacy Policy

GlowBudget is built to keep your information on your device. We have no user accounts, we run no analytics or advertising, and we cannot see your products, routines, or skin information.

1. What data the app stores

Everything you enter into GlowBudget — your products, prices, routines, skin journal entries, skin type and concerns, photos, and notes — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). ThoThi Technologies does not receive, transmit, or have access to this information.

2. Data we do not collect

GlowBudget has no accounts, no logins, and no sign-up of any kind. We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or any contact information
• Your products, routines, skin profile, journal entries, or any other content you enter
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Usage analytics or crash reports

3. Camera and scanning

GlowBudget uses your camera for two features:

• Barcode scanning — to identify a product.
• Ingredient label scanning — text is read from the photo using Apple's on-device Vision framework.

Label photos are processed entirely on your device. They are not stored by the app and are not sent anywhere.

4. Information sent to third parties

To identify products, GlowBudget sends the following to external product databases:

• Open Beauty Facts (openbeautyfacts.org) — barcodes and product search terms.
• UPCitemdb (upcitemdb.com) — barcodes.

Only the barcode or search term is sent — never your personal details or skin information. These services return product information such as name, brand, and ingredients.

Separately, if you explicitly choose to ("Add to Open Beauty Facts"), GlowBudget will submit a not-found product's barcode, name, and brand to Open Beauty Facts so the open database improves for everyone. This is turned off by default and happens only when you opt in.

5. Third-party services and SDKs

GlowBudget contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It is built using only Apple's first-party frameworks (SwiftUI, SwiftData, Vision, StoreKit, and similar). The only information that ever leaves your device is the product-lookup requests described in section 4 — and, if you opt in, the Open Beauty Facts contribution.

6. Notifications

GlowBudget schedules local notifications — routine reminders, restock and expiry alerts, and similar prompts — on your device. These are generated on your device; no notification data is sent to us.

7. Purchases

Any purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. ThoThi Technologies does not receive or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs that data.

8. Deleting your data

Because all of your data is stored on your device, you are always in control of it. You can delete any product, routine, or journal entry inside the app at any time, or remove everything at once by uninstalling GlowBudget. No data remains on any server after deletion, because none of it was ever sent to one.

9. Children's privacy

GlowBudget is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
